HKU holds Virtual Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions 2020

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will hold its Virtual Information Day (IDAY) for Undergraduate Admissions from 9 am to 6pm (Hong Kong Time) on Saturday, 31st October 2020. Students, parents, teachers, and the general public are welcome to join. Here is the registration link: https://infoday.vfairs.com/
On IDAY, the University will organise over 60 live sessions covering the features and development of the faculties and curriculum, as well as important information such as the latest admissions requirements. There will also be students sharing on campus life, opportunities offered by HKU, as well as their experience of overseas exchanges and internships. Furthermore, participants will be able to visit the virtual booth of each faculty and department to interact with our teachers, students, and staff. We will take questions instantly, and provide you with relevant information and advice. The admission scores of JUPAS programmes in 2020 have also been released (please click here to view).
Highlights of this year's IDAY
1. JUPAS and Non-JUPAS Admission Talks
HKU will hold two admission talks at 9:30 am HKT for JUPAS and non-JUPAS (students holding international qualifications) respectively. HKU students will share their experiences at the University, and how the opportunities they grasped inspire them to achieve academic excellence and new breakthroughs. Professor Bennett Yim, Director of Undergraduate Admissions and International Student Exchange, will talk about the University's latest programme development and initiatives.
There will be a live chat session in the Admission Talks, where participants can interact with Professor Yim, admissions representatives and students.

2. Faculty of Science – New Development
Bachelor of Science [BSc] Admission Talk (in English)
Time: 10:45 to 11:15 am
The Faculty of Science is dedicated to providing a high-quality and all-round education that keeps pace with the times, while always striving for innovation. This year, the Faculty of Science will launch an innovative scheme that offers comprehensive scientific research training for elite undergraduates. Students will be taught by top scientists in their four years of undergraduate studies, receive individual research guidance, and conduct cutting-edge scientific research in preparation for their future research pathway. Students who are interested in research are welcome to attend the admission talk conducted by the Faculty of Science to learn more about this new initiative.
3. Dual Degrees and Collaborative Programmes Talk Series
HKU has for years, a number of dual degree programmes with world-leading universities, including the University of Cambridge, Peking University, University of California, Berkeley, Sciences Po, and University College London. These programmes enable students to learn from and experience two distinct intellectual and cultural environments and become an outstanding talent with an international vision and strong leadership skills. This year, HKU Business School and UBC Sauder School of Business of the University of British Columbia jointly launched a dual degree programme. 4. Students and alumni’s sharing of campus life and opportunities at HKU
The Faculty of Arts, Science, and Social Sciences at HKU provide students with a wide range of majors and minors for students to freely mix and match. The “Learn from Insiders” series will be conducted in the form of chit-chat, with students from the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Sciences, and Bachelor of Science sharing the uniqueness of their programmes, internships, and exchange experiences. Participants can also chat with them in real-time and take home HKU admission tips.
